Tomorrow night, in addition to our four readers–Nora Gold, Shaista Latif, Cathy Petch and Ray Robertson–Brockton Writers Series presents “Anyone Can Be a Screenwriter. Here’s How:”, a talk by Matt Huether on getting started in screenwriting!
Matt is an Emmy-nominated TV writer/producer who currently serves as Co-Executive Producer for acclaimed teen series Degrassi, on which he has written for 8 seasons. Born in small town Sarnia, Ontario, and raised by 80s & 90s television, Matt has also written for How to Be Indie, The LA Complex, and Hot Wheels Battle Force 5, has twice been nominated for WGC Screenwriting Awards, and was named one of Playback Magazine’s “Ten to Watch” in 2010. Matt is enthusiastic about television, politics, hip-hop, brunch, and people who are enthusiastic about anything. His ramblings on these topics can be found on Twitter under @_Matty_H_ .
